Tips for successful yoga teacher training
You are about to enroll for the yoga teacher training course and believe you will come out a proficient and skilled yoga instructor; you are wrong. The same case like enrolling in top educational institutions does not necessarily mean they will turn you into a successful individual. Therefore, completing your 300-hour yoga instructor training course from a reputable yoga school does not turn you into a successful teacher.
To become successful, you need to be completely committed, dedicated, and put a lot of effort. The following are some tips you should follow:
Proper time management
Usually, yoga teacher training curriculum gas a heavy schedule and it is very compact. To acquire an enormous amount of skills and knowledge, you need to allow adequate time to cover the syllabus. It can be a daunting task to balance between your yoga lectures, classes, practice, and rest. However, if you manage your time as required, you will avoid overwhelming yourself from a tough schedule.
Stay hydrated
You should note that yoga sessions are quite intense. Thus, it is necessary to keep the body moisturized and hydrated. This is because you will sweat more as compared to usual days. Ensure you always have a bottle of water with you. When you over sweat, you lose electrolytes. Add a pinch of lime juice and salt in your water. This will help in replenishing your body with minerals and vitamins.
Pay attention
Although the primary purpose of a yoga course is to make you well-versed with the yoga postures. It does not mean that you should perform the right posture in your first attempt. It is important to listen to the body and give it the time it requires. Over time, the body will adjust automatically without getting injured or hurt.
Enjoy your training
To make your yoga training successful and effective, you are advised to enjoy every bit of your training. However, if you just take it like any other ordinary course, you will not attain the desired goals. Enjoy your mistakes, risks, core practices, in-depth learning, and your connecting with the instructors and other students.
Practice
Find adequate time and practice on your own. Remember that yoga instructor training is about transforming an ordinary person into a yoga expert who can perform all yoga postures with ease. For this to happen, you should practice a broad range of yoga postures you learn in class.
